Role Summary

The Senior Underwriting Services Executive specialising in aviation is an integral part of the new business support team concept, new to Aventum and is part of a series of changes happening across the organisation. A willingness, ability and hands on approach is required to help develop and shape the business support function.

The Aventum Group (AGL) is an independent, privately owned, debt-free global (re)insurance group that operates across both the underwriting and broking sectors. We currently employ around c350 staff and have 15 offices across 4 continents.  Through our wholesale (Consilium) and MGA (Rokstone) platforms, AGL offers clients a range of specialist solutions in all lines of Property and Casualty (re)insurance and is writing more than $1.5bn GWP.  

AGL’s 2026 vision is an insurance group with 5 complementary verticals spanning broking, underwriting and capital markets, controlling c.$5bn GWP.  To achieve this vision AGL has embarked upon a programme of organic growth, joint ventures, and M&A activity.

Role Responsibilities

  • General administrative duties including scanning, filing, entering data onto relevant spreadsheets and preparing and production of Insurance documents and contract endorsements.

  • Perform day to day transactions, including verifying, classifying, uploading, posting, and recording data requirements.

  • Provide any necessary ad hoc support to Team Lead and other team members as needed.

  • Resolving issues and discrepancies.

  • Solid data entry skills with the ability to identify numerical errors.

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and chasing brokers for any additional data required.

  • Inputting and updating policies/invoices on in-house systems.

  • Maintain an electronic and paper filing system.

  • Providing broker support and creating documentation.

  • Management of in-house schemes, ensuring Bordereau’s are up to date and all data recorded is accurate.

  • Booking surveys on behalf of insurers and maintaining communication with brokers on all requirements following issuance of reports.

Role Requirements

  • Having at least 2 years insurance experience working for a Syndicate, MGA, Underwriting company.

  • Experience dealing with aviation and other classes of business.

  • At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT.

  • Insurance qualifications e.g. CII (Desirable).

  • Essential to have an understanding of London Market processes and terminology would be an advantage.

  • Previous data entry and reconciliation experience.

  • High computer literacy and intermediate use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
