Aventum Fantasy Football - Manager of the Month September

It’s still very early days in the Premier League season, but in the Aventum Fantasy League it’s key to get in quick for the best players, before they all shoot up in value. It didn’t take long for top forward point scorer Michail Antonio to rise from 7.5 to 8.0 in value (despite a sending off in gameweek 4), and various other bargains like Benrahma, Duffy, and Gray are also no longer as cheap as they were. The dilemma for managers without such players is whether to follow the herd and take them on at their new price, or take a chance on someone else they predict could be about to hit a hot streak.
There are no shortage of options this year on who to take a chance on, and which pricier players you want to draft in, with Ronaldo, Lukaku and Salah all popular options. Unquestionably, Salah has been the standout performer in the opening couple of months of the season, scoring in every game except one, as Liverpool proved they have returned to form this year. Over 60% of players now have Salah in their teams, and his value has risen to 12.7, making him the most expensive player in the game. However, with the form he’s displaying, it’s hard to imagine how any fantasy manager could afford not to have him in their team.

As of the end of week 7 , Steven Hale tops the standings with 500 points, thanks to a strong August and consistent September. He currently sits in pole position to claim the end of season winner’s prize of an Apple Watch, but with another 94 mangers all within 100 points of Steven, this remains a wide open contest that anyone could still win.
