Senior Exposure Management Analyst (AIR)

Role Summary

A newly created role, we are seeking a Senior Exposure Management Analyst proficient in using AIR who will be responsible for managing and delivering modelling results and exposure reporting across the business. The new role will be supporting our MGA, Rokstone Underwriting, and Exposure Management (EM) team and will be involved in exciting projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the daily operation of the AIR modelling platform, cat model analytics and exposure accumulation system.

  • Build/contribute to the workflow automation for scheduled reports and other repetitive modelling tasks.

  • Become the first point of contact for the London underwriting teams for all reporting and modelling enquiries.

  • Work out ad hoc cat model analyses and handle special modelling cases.

  • Assist with various other projects and reporting related to NatCat as required.

  • Interact closely with the EM team, AIR and ExposureHub specialists to achieve superior data quality in Rokstone cat modelling and exposure reporting.

  • Follow AIR to keep track of the most recent cat model developments.

  • Support EM team with research model appropriateness and the latest developments in AIR’s modelling toolbox

  • Interaction with the MIS team: Liaise with and guide the MIS team to deliver tailor-made data extracts (e.g. carrier data & modelling requests) and to bring them into automation.

  • Work with the MIS team to integrate AIR results in UW-systems and MIS systems.

Role Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mathematics, Science, Geography or other related degree.

  • 4-7 years of experience in the insurance industry is preferred.

  • Experience with accumulation systems and 3rd party catastrophe model is required. Knowledge of AIR system is preferred but not essential.

  • Provide and contribute to automating solutions for our exposure reporting and catastrophe modelling processes.

  • Strong communication skills are required to liaise with the EM team and underwriting team.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving approach.

  • Highly motivated team player with good interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task is required.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours if required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and/or GIS skills are a distinct advantage.

  • Knowledge and use of AIR system is preferred but not essential.

  • Working knowledge of ExposureHub, Sequel Impact or anything equivalent is preferred but not essential.
