Rokstone expands D&F property team with new hire

Rokstone already has one of the most experienced and knowledgeable D&F Property teams in the entire London market, and Jack coming onboard will cement this highly respected status further.

Jack will be appointed as a Senior Property Underwriter, just as the D&F Property team expect to take their profitable book to USD200m GWP.

From a standing start, it’s taken the team just four years to reach this milestone, a feat made all the more outstanding given the entirety of this growth was achieved organically.

As a whole Rokstone is anticipating that it will write circa USD750m GWP across all lines this year.

Jack comes latterly from Geo Specialty, where he was Property Underwriter for five years. Before that he spent six years with The Channel Syndicate where he was an International Property Underwriter.

He has excellent long-standing relationships with brokers and significant capacity providers and has particular expertise in the Australian and Canadian Direct & Facultative Property markets.

“I am hugely excited about joining the Rokstone team, their culture and values epitomise that of a market leading forward thinking MGA business of choice.”

James Potter, Deputy CEO of Rokstone, adds: “I’m delighted to welcome Jack to the team. His appointment will complement and grow our already market leading Property D&F team which now has more than 200 years’ combined experience amongst a team of eight underwriters. That level of senior expertise really makes us stand apart – particularly in this current hard market. MGAs like Rokstone have now established themselves as the primary choice for great underwriting talent that previously would have gone to Lloyds or the company market, but that traditional model has been turned on its head in recent years. Talent is now attracted by the agility, entrepreneurial spirit, superior service and therefore growth, being enjoyed by the best MGAs now.”

Rokstone is now one of the world’s largest MGAs, with offices in the UK, Europe, USA, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
